I love to take screen shots so I used the Mission Editor quite a biit when SH3 was out. I am having a problem creating missions. When I have every thing set up & I go to save it, I don't get the drop down box to save as wxyz.misge all it will do is save it as a wxyz.mis file. If I go ahead and in the save box type wxyz.misge the result will be ( wxyz.misge.mis & wxyz.misge.tsr ) I don't get whats wrong that I don't get the drop down box. I have saved the project, Validated the mission with no errors & double checked everything. I used to use the SH3 Editor quite a bit so I am familiar with it be cause it's not that much different. I did get one mission with Icebergs & several New York Class battle ships to load by hand naming it but when I get a few miles from my start point & I leave the boat for screen shots the screen goes black & it says {Camera out of sector}?
Any Help or Advice you can give me will be greatly appreciate. I did get one nice shot. ![]() The Icebergs in SH5 way better than SH3. Something was wrong with this one. When the game loaded it was upside down, by the time I got to it, it had sunk a lot.

From the menu bar click on Campaign -> Player Side -> Axis to make it default saving as *.misge
To make an already saved file work simply rename it from *.mis to *.misge |

Someone in the mod forum had mentioned getting that 'camera out of sector' error before, but I haven't seen it.
In playing with the icebergs I did notice that they tend to "settle" for a while. Was your boat starting near the icebergs? Perhaps one didn't fully load and you were "inside" it or something? |

Yea thats what it was, They started out way up in the air & settled down in to the Ocean. I thought it was upside down at first but it was just settling itself, But they are really good looking compared to the ones in SH3. Thanks for the reply. I'll do a search on 'camera out of sector' & see what I get. I just wish the forum would let you search by phrase instead of picking out the individual words.
Thanks

For a historical accurat 1 month campaign, name it "May 1940" or "Juni 1941" or whatever, i need ca. 1700 ships with routes.
Is the mission-editor capable to handle 1700 ships and their movements? Why 1700 ship-routes? According to this http://www.convoyweb.org.uk/oskms/index.html and that ![]() we have 26 known ship-lanes. On each shiplane we have 3930 (131 x 30) ship-routes per 5 years. 26 x 3930 = 102180 ship-movements in 5 years 102180 / 5 = 20436 ship-movements per 1 year 20436 / 12 = 1703 ship-movements per month |
