How to make the XO appear on my TDC ?!

It seems that I can not get the XO giving me the data on the TDC.
He is just not there. I read in this forum and saw how to enter all the necessary data getting from him, but how to make him appear ?!

I reinstalled – did not help.

Any help on this will be appreciated

Dumb question - do you have your scope locked on a target ship?

I play this game since "SH1"

I locked the target and all, but the XO is nowhere.

Are you still on the first mission, the one where you blow up 3 ships and get to Kiel? If so, stop trying to shooting things and just go to Kiel to unlock the "real" game.

The intro mission is pretty bad as most of the functions you're used to are hidden from you to start with. As kylania said, once you get into the "real" game, all will be revealed.
