on TV in the UK i think it was the full
one it wae on for about 6 nights
and i have read the book

Yep, the miniseries. But they left the nude scene out of that broadcast on account of widescreen TVs hadn't been invented yet.

Does it have any nude scenes? I only read books with nude scenes. Really big print and lots of pictures are also a plus.

I actually do feel that Das Boot is rather tedious. It isn't the length, it is the length compounded with the utter lack of cinematic artistry. The fact that so many treat it as a historical document only exacerbates my disdain for the film.
