That is quite a vague task. What exactly must I do - and how long? How close to the mission star? Inquiring minds want to know how to conduct anti-shippoing operations.

Go to your patrol star, check your orders for range if given and go there and sink ships. Some orders give you a range and a time limit to stay within, others just say sink ships.

This one merely says Conduct anti-shipping operations in the East China Sea. So is that ALL of th area, not just around the star?

If TMO doesn't give you a time on station and patrol radius, then it is a 'Sink' mission.
I can't remember the exact figure, but I think you need around 5000 tons or so to complete the objective. It is left to the captains discretion where best to hunt for this. ![]() |

Also, I've hit the "report sighting" button for a group of sampans. I got an arder to destroy the freighters. Later on, I sank a decent size ship, and got a completed mission.

What I generally do if the orders are vague is draw a circle of about 100 nm around the star with the compass and stay in that area looking for targets, in most cases the mission will complete in 72-96 hrs even when you don't sink ships.

If you get to the yellow icon it should grey out as soon as you reach the zone, but produce another icon to sink ships and it seems anywhere will do. Sort of a double barrel mission.

@BillBam
Your advice did the trick. I stayed within 100 nm of the yellow icon area for the "Conduct Anti-shipping operations" mission some days and it went to Complete. Should just say that in the mission text, really ... ![]()
