Please some help with this bug any advice

i just cannot be the only person who has this. anywhere between 5-20 mins of starting a game if i switch to the nav map using either the keyboard or the mouse the game crashes. ive tried many things most recently had a full format on my hard drive and windows xp freshly installed. rolled back my video card drivers 3 versions, tried turing off 3d view, have upgraded to service pack 3, tried only using the mouse, so many variations nothing seems to work.
