Default This game is GREAT! You guys whine too much!

Ok, so I don't have the hours and hours invested in SHIII or SHIV but from my early experience in this game it's a good game. I've noticed several flaws, things that bug me but I don't let it ruin the experience. I'm sure with future patches and user modifications this will mature into a much better game than the former you all compare it against.

The DRM? Yes, if you don't have internet or if you have a poor connection that's a pity. There's the big brother thing, what happens if they decide to no longer host the DRM server? Is the game useless? Aside from that there are benefits.... they can potentially collect data to IMPROVE how we use the game, where the bugs are, etc.

So anyways... I am only just starting a campaign but I think so far the game is good. The whining on these forums reminds me of each time a new WWII Flight Simulator was released... everyone would get pent up expecting their dream game and then right after release there would be this mass disappointment. This is wrong, that's wrong, the Flight Models are wrong blah blah blah...

I hesitated on buying this game because of all the whining, but eventually I bought it. Now I intend to play it. I have SHIII and SHIV but I'd much rather play a "new" game rather than something dated. That's just me, I have a kick ass computer and I want to use it. Speaking of which I have no problems running this game, settings maxed out.

We call it subjective criticism, "whining" leads to more namecalling. Glad you are enjoying the game

You forgot the part where four years after the big disappointing game has been out, everyone talks about how great it was....

You should have seen the complaining in the old Sierra forums over Aces of the Deep when it first came out.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA no wait, wait *cough* *ahem* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Saying that our legitimate complaints are just people whining isn't a really good way in trying to present your opinion, nor is it a good way to make friends.

If you are cool with all the retard bugs that are in the game, and the fact that its a WW2 Sub "simulation"(arcade) that ends in 43, and not being able to play your game that you spent money on just because the internet is down, or more likely UBI servers are "attacked"(Utter fail), then that is awesome for you. Glad your are enjoying it.

As for me and the rest of the "whining" crowd I'm sure we will wait till either UBI or Pirates patch out the DRM and then see if its worth buying after UBI fixes the bugs.

Welcome to subsim.

Glad to see the OPs enjoying the game, looks like Ubi's marketing research paid off in his case.

GREAT...

I would rather say it has the potential to be GREAT.

Seriously, do you really think that SH5, in its current state, is GREAT?

On the other hand, can we stop the sillyness about the ''arcade'' thing...

Edit:

To the OP, be prepared... some people here are gonna...

Trolling on your first post? That's not good.
