Default Game playablity

This isn't a slam on TMO or RSRD, but wonder how others see it..Two best mods in history. It's like having a wife and a mistress, wanting some aspects not to be changed by the other, yet combining the best points into one..but alas we find ourselves fools when we think such.

I love TMO and don't know that I would change the settings. It seems RSRD does effect some of the difficulty settings of TMO. I played TMO by itself and love how Ducimas changed the traffic some. I've played RSRD so long, not sure how many changes are his. I run into faster convoys and he did put more of a zig pattern to the layers..but alas, I also love RSRD and have to load it for the historical playability.

Here is what I think is missing for me. I don't mind the hard settings of TMO, although sometimes it's like uber skills. I would rather see some change up. I think the game should be much harder to track based on enemy speed and more zig pattern. Sub skippers rarely killed capital ships and we can kill at will and with rather ease.

All TF's should be going faster than your sub. I don't know of many instances that TF went 14 or 12 knots. Like war, you had a chance at these TF's if they were coming at you. I would say 90% of TF I can do an end around on, wasn't the case in war, you basically had to be in position.

Once you attack, ships often slow down and zig...even capital ships..they would be putting on the coal and hauling arse. I think once you attack, ships should go to the fastest speed the group allows, not slow down, mill around, ect.

Would love to see faster convoys. I did run into many with TMO alone, good thing...be nice to see some going faster up to group speed..9nts is easy to set up on.

TMO 1.9 alone has some good zig pattern to it, but would love to see more.

Course it seems the group slows down to the speed of it's slowest ship, so damage one, they all slow. I'm playing RSRD right now, but is there a way to disconnect the two so they don't all react the same? That's the problem I'm having in the settings. I swore with TMO alone many times the ships took off, not match the speed of the slowest ship.

I have to think Ducimas had this somewhat in mind with changes to 1.9 layers, but having played with the layers some it would be a mega undertaking to do such, even if possible.

Hard to explain. The settings of TMO are almost nuts, but at the same time we still can sink 100 times reality...Not sure where SH5 will go, but if it doesn't take off, maybe SH4 will take back off and I have a wish list...but I'm not holding my hand under my arse...
