Default The final straw with this system !!!!

I have just logged on the game and was informed they were unable to d/l any of my saved games.
I duly started the game ---went to all my saved games --tried to load the last one and was immediately removed to the desktop . I repeated the attempt to check and again when selecting "Continue Campaign" I was immediately returned to desktop.
So it would appear that none of my previous saves any longer exists.
If this is a possible outcome in this system and any of us could suddenly lose all our saved games then there is no future at at all with DRM. This game totally depends on working your way through a series of campaigns and saving these regularly to be able to progress. If at a stroke the system can rob you of all your saves you have no game .You cant just start the same beginning of the whole war again and again . It is far worse than the very irritating waits to get into your game ---this fault makes the game unusable---"unfit for purpose"
Has anyone else suffered from this particular problem or am I the first.
Please let me know .

This happened to me before i switched off the save synching. On the login box which pops up automatically when you start the game, there is a little icon in the top right hand corner. Click on it before the box dissapears and it will give you a choice to turn off the online synching. You wont have that problem any longer.

Ya i know, it doesnt tell us this anywhere.

Coldcall thanks very much for your help-- much appreciated---I clicked the ikon to say no to the synching but noted that when i entered the game it still asks me to wait while saved games are synched from the Server.
Should this be happening if no synching is operating any more ?
And also what about the past saves which seemed lost---are they recoverable or lost for ever.
Thanks for any further help on this...

yes it still tells you its synching, but it doesnt as far as i know. You can always check to see what state that toggle is in my clicking on it and it will ask you if you wnat to go back to save synching online, so im pretty sure it works.
