Where the heck are the mission objectives???

I have started a new career/campaign.

I click on that captain like guy inside the Uboat pen, he gives me the briefing about the invasion of Poland and the convoys around UK but there is no mission to select. After he finishes I can only choose Replay or hit the X button.

Then if I choose him again and select go to see, he asks if I want to sail, without selecting a mission first. If I hit no I return to the pen without a way to select a mission. If I hit yes I appear on the uboat bridge preparing to sail away in general and not in a mission on the map.

But if I hit end game to windows I get to missions incomplete.

How the heck am I supposed to select the missions to start them????

I attach a screen of what it should be according to the manual.



In my case I get only the campaign info box in the briefing map. No macro or current objective.

Even if a click on the little triangle to bring it up side down it has no effect.

Maybe it is a thing with my connection?????

Please give me a clue.

(I really prefered better the "simplicity" of the true sim like SH4 or SH3)

same here. i'd switch back to SHIV if it wasn't so deeply crashed my all teh mods i got. so i'll return my copy or wait for the first megamod or when ubi release some 1.5 version with mk IX, XXI etc. they'll do it. i have faith. until then you got my full empathy, you can join me in my own personal swearing chorus.

Yes but why this is happening?

I can do a free roam anywhere I want in the map, I can sink all enemy ships, I get normally the respective tonnage and up to now (November 1st, 1939) I have around 160.000 tons, 1 KC 2nd class and 2 KC 1st class.
I mean the game progress normally in free roam but I can not choose the in game missions to proceed with the dynamic campaign.

An because I don't want to go beyond the deadlines (I read in here that Operation Weber-something will end after April 1940 or around that since Norway was taken over by Germany) and thus lose "points" inside the game, I will stop playing for now (unless a viable solution found).

If (and notice I said if) you are using a cracked version then that is the problem.

If not I have no idea what to tell you.

Never seen the macro mission screen either

So if you clcik on the lil circle with the cross in it you dont get the expanded box ( as in the British coastal waters one ) ?
If you do thats where should let you accept mission - on the pop up box

Usually 2 or 3 of those circles on the map with diff missions

The pirated version does not work because the game has to connect to UBI's servers to download mission objectives.

Save game, then reload. fixed it for me

I started the game yesterday and completed 2 free roam patrols so I am not yet familiarized with all the controls and screens.

Such map I have so far seen only in the briefing of the guy inside the pen.

My in-uboat map, do not have such circles (+), not even the briefing map does.

I am online at the time of the briefing and most of the time of the mission.

For me..... When i tried to select a mission and nothing was displayed. i exited the map in the sub pen. Then i pressed [Esc]. clicked save game. Saved the game.
then i click load game. then went back to guy that brief you about mission. then clicked on mission on the map and i was able to click "request mission".

Ok I did it (save, reload, save, reload)



Now I have the (+), I select a mission (Poland invasion)



It gives me the details and description and then what?????????

If I press the X and go to the Kapitankorveten to start the mission he tells me that I have not select a mission.
How do I start the mission from briefing the MAP?????

In the Invasion of Poland I do not get a Request Mission button

On the 2 convoy missions around UK I get the Request Mission button.

Invasion of Poland is the first mission you did (with the cut scenes of the Captain waxing on and on about war). Also known as the training mission.

Click on the one that says "accept mission" and you are good to go. You will go back to the Pens and then you can tell What-his-name that you are ready to ship out.

You have already completed Invasion of Poland. thats why there is not a request mission button.
