Default Ship Identification using Auto TDC

When using the basic auto TDC is there a way to gain info re target identification .
I am using Church's keyboard mod which has a "Shft I" for ship identification but I assume this only works if you are using manual TDC.
I would very much like to be able to call up identification of a locked target with the auto TDC in operation---Anyone able to suggest if this is possible and if so how---Many thanks for any help .....

To get the keel depth, right?
I just switch to manual TDC, identify and switch back, the hull diagram stays in the depth setting.

Go to manual TDC press shift + i to get ship type for known, otherwise if you want only hull diagram to set torpedo deepth just press shift+i.

Click the WO Icon that shows below your periscope sight. That will reveal the dialog to turn it on/off.

Thanks Porto Ferro
I had removed that ikon a while back without appreciating its uses.
Thanks for clarifying its value for me---I have reinstated it.
