What do you guys think about creating a central DW MP Lobby to gather all people just looking for a session to play.
For myself, I miss such a lobby as I would love to play some spontaneous session from time to time. I guess I'm not the only one. The problem I see that there are relatively few people actually playing the game. If these few people would meet up at a certain spot, maybe DW MP would get a smart boost. The lobby could be a simple forum, chat or TS-Server. I think this shoulb be enough to meet up. What do you think? |

Actually there are already places available for just that ... starting right here with the DW or even the DW MP forum. Another way would be to use the CADC which offers all the facilities described (well, short of a TS/Ventrilo server right now). Or GameSpy ... not to mention the leagues/clans that still play DW ...
So, as you can see there are already enough places available - the problem is not where to meet but gathering all the people that play in one of the available spots ... at the same time (well, at least enough people to play a round of DW). |

I think it's a great idea; anything to encourage MP is good. You have to get through the 'mod gap' though; everybody running different flavours of DW.

Thanks, James. The question is to get enough people interested for that.
I'm still on this thought. Maybe I just should try and see. |
