Default [REQ] Sun light images on sub

Hi Mates;

SH4 had shimmering sun light images on the sub when it was submerged...would like to see them again.

Do you have a picture to illustrate that?

I can see them actually. They're not as intensive as I saw on SH4 screens but yet they're there. Maybe it's your graphic settings like flakmonkey mentioned?

Got a Radeon HD 5870. Is it a DX10 feature?

Could you post a screenshot please? I've got the same card as yours, but I highly doubt the game has any Dx10 features.

Sorry, can't take any screens.
Just start the Narvik defense mission and switch to the external cam. You'll see beautiful caustics/light effects under water.

Install and use Fraps to take screenshots. It is very easy.

Are you referring to "dancing rays" like in a swimming pool?
They're nicely done in SH5 actually.
Don't forget you would only see those in very shallow, clear water as sunlight is absorbed pretty quickly.

The rays are there but no where as strong as the last 2 games, off the sub. It seems the rays hit the bottom of the ocean more than the sub which is a little strange. They definitely toned down the effect this time, it's almost too subtle.
