I,m wondering the same thing. But the thing you have to ask is will it break the mods when patched.

It is save to say that SH5 does no autopatch. You will have enough time to start up JSGME and disable all mods, before you start the installation of the patch. But not all mods will be compatible with further patches, i am afraid.

change your desktop shortcut. Its probably pointing at gu.exe. (thats the patcher)
Change it to sh5.exe. |

It does not auto patch, it auto downloads. Then you get to choose to install the patch or not.
