Default Intercept Course

Hi there,

It's been a good year since I last touched SH3, I used to have links to show me how to plot an intercept course for contacts radioed through to my sub but I can't find them. Does anyone have a link to a good guide for plotting an intercept course?

Andy

Typically they will call out a course and speed you will have to assume they will maintain that course. Some simple math will allow you to 'guess' where they will be at such and such a location at some point in time.

I dont know about sh5 but in sh4 often these radio messages were simply 'color text' and the contacts did not actually exist in the game.

There's an interesting new feature on the SH5 map. If you drag your plotted course markers around, the radio contacts on the map have "ghosts" that move also, which show the estimated position at the time you will reach the course waypoint, given the target's current speed and heading. You can use this to very easily plot an intercept course, if you so desire.

I remember having a link though that would allow me to work out an intercept course based on a contacts guessed speed, direction, my speed ect...I could applu the same logic to this.
