See through crew

Could anyone advise me,how to adjust the settings on sh4,to get rid of the see through crew when on Deck.I have been playing it for quite some time now and do have problems, when it comes to reloading the game after saving.I often have to start all over again, which is rather annoying.I don't think that I will ever get to the end of it.I am a New Member and this is my First question,no doubt there will be many others, especially now that I have bought sh5 and am NOT impressed with it.

No clue about the crashing issue, mod related?

But the see-through crew can be removed if you disable volumetric fog in the game options menu (but then I get weird vibration effects underwater). I dont think there is a better fix than that but Im sure if there is it'll be posted soon enough.

I get that as well. Initially I thought I'd have to do something about it, but then apart from the very occasional crash, everything else works just fine.

The see through effect is very subtle in my case anyway, with really only the sea horizon appearing through the caps of my officers. So adjusting my head height with the up and down cursor keys more or less takes it out of my eye line if I find it annoying me. But I've found on the whole it doesn't bother me that much, since most of the time on the Bridge is spent looking through binocs or the"TBT", both of which render the deck crew a moot point.

I have a similar situation with one crewmember in the control room who is only there during general quarters. Only his head and wrench are visible. Creepy.

The "see through" crew on the bridge doesn't bother me. What does though is when the crew's eyes turn a blank brown. That is creepy. Kind of like something from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies!
