Raw Midshipman needs some help please.

I'm sure this has been asked but I can't seem to find it on the forums. So here goes, I recently downloaded SHIII from Steam. I just found Subsim a short time ago and discovered the Grey Wolves mod (Looks excellent). When I tried to install it I got a message that I had a mod installed and needed a clean install. I didn't have any mods that I knew of but hey whatever so I uninstalled and reinstalled and I'm still getting the same issue. I have Vista 64 and the vanilla SHIII works fine. Any help and I would be grateful.
