Just updating my current cmp status:
I have downloaded 3 mods, and restarted my campaign and increased realism. I like that my start date is sept 3/39 now.

The mods are for 3 dials (what a simple, but great improvement), improved POV (even closer to my boat, and the closer I get, the greater the fps!) And new german flags.

I had some frame rate issues, but turning off vsync seemed to solve my problems. Everything but this is now maxed.

I enjoy moving through the boat (let's face it, at least it's more content than just SH3&4 stations). Have still to see how crew will react in crysis.

I have 'Fraps' full version. Would be interesting in posting video of my patrol. I really don't have a clue how to post such things to Youtube. Any advice?

I'm starting to get pulled in as I go along. I spent the morning just taking in Kiel canal. The game looks great, and the few mods released have helped that. I plan to add more i.e. no bubbles.

Negative thoughts so far:
Where is the depth under keel command?
No lock view.
Tdc looks like it needs total overeall. Functional, but bore.
I'm not a fan of the recognition manual.

As side note, I have had zero connection or save problems with the drm.

That's about it so far. I'm posting this from a blackberry while hiking at Chebucto Head, Nova Scotia, looking out on the sunny North Atlantic. I live in hfx. 11:09 hrs, unlimited viz. Good hunting weather.
