Turn off Vertical Sync, that should help with the stuck frame rate.

Hi,

I've had the mouse view problem too the first time I played the game.
After reseting the graphic details on high, AND rechecking "windows mode" (will still display in fullscreen), closed and relaunched the game :
- Mouse problem gone !

I've only played twice so I don't know if this did the trick, worth a try.

PS: using ATI 4870 HD 1Gb / intel i7 920

can a mod merge this thread into my post? "ATI card issues/fps/performance"

Guys, look for this post, might be easier to keep a track of all the ATI users and their issues...
cheers.

It's probably attempting to do AFR as it does not recognize the game. Unfortunately Silent Hunter 5 does not support this unless you turn shadows off (at least on NVIDIA cards).

Weird. It's not ATI per se since I run a 5770 and I've had zero problems with the game on it.

The problem is not restricted to ATI users only. I run it on a XFX 8800GTX and the screen flickers like hell... The binoculars of the deck crew flicker too. Sometimes when I turn very fast, the screen freezes and after turning my avatar slow it operates normally. I guess there are some bugs in the shader routines, because I can see screen flickers almost only on the water surface.

If your using SLI, then disable it for the purposes of running the game. Seems to act up for me.

I haven't got SH5 yet (so keep that in mind with the following), but in playing AvP this week I had a lot of problems with Catalyst 10.2 & 10.3 with my Ati 4890.

I went back to using 9.10 drivers which seem rock solid on my system.
