Haha... good excuse !

I 'had' to get it to see for myself.

No excuses for me I'm afraid. I was 'in between' games anyhow.

thanks, though not for another 20 days.

She got an Iphone and a diamond necklace for her B-Day (Friday)

so she was trying to think of something to do for me... well she knows how i am about these subsims and has seen me spend a lot of time here checking it out going back and forth between yes and no.

I played it for about 15 minutes last night... which is nothing.

but all i can say so far.

Nothing will ever be the same... everything has changed, there is a steep learning curve, its a very deeply involved game and most experts at SH3 / 4 i would wager would be more or less totally lost when first firing this thing up.

no opinion as to quality yet though.

Hmmmm... maybe I shouldn't have been ranting at my wife about OSP and SH5 for the past... oh, what's it been, a month?

Heh. Guess who else owns the bloody thing now. Technically i didn't buy it. My GF did, but i am guilty of picking out the game box in a moment of weakness. I think my integrity just took a hit of -50 points.

First thing that grabs me, and im still stuck on, is the UI. The keymapping is starting to make sense of me, but the GUI elements are lacking crucial info, and the TDC as we all know it from SH3/4 is seemingly non existant. There's a ton else i can say, both good and bad. im slowly and methodically going through it, but what i am sure of so far.

This game has a long way to go. There is a TON.. no.. a CRAPTON of work to do on it. Number 1 problem IMO is the UI. I can understand why its minimalistic, but its lacking in functionality.

Also.. about importing the type 9D2 from UBM. Without doing some MAJOR 3d work, forget it. The interior is now part of the sub model, and it is not referenced in a seperate pipeline in the subs cfg file anymore. (though one could try that, maybe some legacy code allows it, but i doubt it will work right)

Weak Ducimas...My wife called when she saw it and asked did I want it...I said no......I'll wait for patches and mods.

I keep seeing all these people who swore they wouldn't buy it now playing it....so you're not alone.
