[QUE]Fire & explosion graphics

Oi oi!

Does anyone know how easy it would be to change the fire and the explosion effects? And I mean just the graphics, I have few high resolution, pre-keyed videos of explosions & fire I'm interested on using to replace the rather low resolution stock stuff.

Is there any program that would make it possible to easily and fast make one of those segmented graphic files (you know, like the fire & explosion thingies are, what the heck you call them). And more importantly, can the stock file be easily replaced by a totally new one?
