For mods, is there a certain way we are supposed to do it? I know for SHIV there was a Generic Mod Enabler, is there one again for SHV?

Note the "Generic" part of the name. The mod enabler should work for just about any game you can think of, as long as the mod is in the proper format. If it isn't it's pretty easy to create the directory tree needed to work with JSGME.
You just need to drop a copy of the .exe in the main folder, and set up your mods in the MODS directory, and go at it.
