Default Hedgehog and Squid?

Hi

I take it that Hedgehog(1942) wil appear in SH5 just as it did in SH3. Does anyone know if it's bigger brother Squid(1943) is on SH5?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squid_(weapon)

Thanx

Dought it. Could be modded I bet.

Hedgehog and Squid are no match for Moose and Squirel.

Probably not Squid, since Squid didn't sink any U-Boats until after the sim's timeframe (1944). I think it will be possible to mod in Squid by modifying a gun or d/c launcher.

SH5 deliberately ends in 1943 to avoid having to model such complex ASW measures. The hedgehog might be in (it was in SH3, right?) but I would severely doubt that any system that could be justifiably avoided in development would appear in SH5.

Im not sure if ut was a factor in earlier uboatgames but it seems as the hedgehog etc were effective indeed.

One particular american corvette sung six japanese submarines with squids in only a matter of days. Squids had a kill-ratio of 25%, depthcharges only 7%.

Leaving them out is unrealistic and makes it easier for the kaleuns.

Yeah but remember the time frame for SH5 is before the squids were really active. So leaving them out in this case is just because the cutoff date of the campaign is before they actively used the system.

Hedghogs those will be fun though. Remember them in SH3....
