Default Supreme Commander 2

Demo is up on Steam, release stated as 5th March.

Enjoyed the first one quite a bit; finally an RTS with some decent scale and big, honking maps. 2 seems like more of the same, but better... I like better.

Oh, and of course I should mention that it's the brainchild of Chris Taylor, founder of Gas Powered Games, and creator of Total Anihilation and Dungeon Siege.

I guess I'll try the demo. Any idea if the campaign has been improved and did away with that opening level boundary thing? I hated that. It's like, "well crap if I knew that was gonna happen I'd have done something different to prepare." You know what I mean? How after completing an objective the map would open up more and more. I'd rather have the whole thing just be there.

I dont know what to think of the SupCom 2 demo.

I like the reaserch idea for focusing on a particular branch like going all out on your air force and having hard hitting planes with shields or focusing on building output and resource income.

I dont like the lack of units and the experimentals in SC2 dont seem anywhere near as epic as the original. There is also alot less in the game for the player who likes to turtle as the options for base defences seem very limited.

Also the graphics bug me a bit. While the effects looks better then SC the overall detail and maps look rubbish in comparision.
