Default 1st time 100% realism

Well, I've allways played sh3+gwx3.0 on 78% realism (external camera and noise meter was on). Yesterday I started a new campaign with 100% realism. First mission with VIIB was little boring, but as soon as the war started excitement started as well. Lost several ships with sonar (this was frustrating), but I managed to sink 2 coastal freighters with my deck gun.
All the suddenly I've met a convoy. When I approached the convoy felt the adrenalin in me like never before. Checking everything, from escorts to how many ships. I've prepared for the attack over 40 minutes, and when I was ready I fired 4 torpedoes and skunked 2 medium cargo merchants. I was happy like a little child (my wife thought I went crazy and started yell at me because I'll wake the neighbors). Anyway a destroyer hunted me down and I've managed to escape after some time . If I knew that game is so exciting on 100% I've would play it much before.

Sorry for my bad English, I only wanted to share the thrilling experience with you.

Good Job Ceki!
I'm always playing with 100% just the external Camera is on for Screenshots.

I known that too well, good preperation is the half attack.

It's quite a thrill playing with Manual Targeting/No Ext.Cam
Everything must be double/triple checked. Last minute speed/course checks, torpedo settings are very important, your next move must be planned and all that. It really feels you are there and doing it, the stress is huge and the joy after a successful attack is awesome!

Well done sir

I haven't figured out exactly why the game is such a thrill like that. There is something about sneeking around with the enemy just 100m off the bow and compleetly oblivious to your preseance. Then when you finaly decide to annouce yourself with a volly of fire that results in an epic explosion. What I can't figure out is if it is just a game and there is no risk to life or limb if you are discoverd and there is no great reward for a sucsesful attack. Strange.

The other half in 1944 is shooting just before the escorts pounce on you and you sink... eh?

For me the Camera not Count's, it's just necessary to consider the Camera as a realsim Option. (For me) I'm taking maybe 1-2 Screenshots per Patrol otherwise i'm in the boat the whole time.

If you tweak the CFG settings you can have anything you want activated and the realism seeting at any figure of your choice.
