Help needed with colour references

I'm lurking here for a while already but never posted. So hello everyone, you've got a great community here! I'm relaying a message from Vladimir Kochmarsky who is working on the upcoming flightsimulation Storm of War : Battle of Britain. He needs help with the following:

"I need historically correct colors and placement schemes for various waterlines, marks, signs, etc. used German light combat ships, such as minesweepers and torpedo boats, as well as underwater hull colors for them.

Also same things for the motor boats and life boats used on those ships."
