Default Instant teleport to home base

I wan't to transfer to mediterranean and sail through Gibraltar. If change flotilla in St. Nazaire my sub is hauled by rail to Salamis. Can't change flotilla except in home port so no point sailing to Salamis and then back to the barn at St. Nazaire.

Then I rememberd that once upon a time in Atlantic it was possibly to teleport back to base by hitting ESC button. So I sail close to Salamis but not too close, teleport to St. Nazaire change flotilla and get rail hauled back to Salamis. Voilà I penetrated Gibraltar.

Now if I hit ESC I only get two options Abandon career or Continue mission.
How do get instant teleport "on" again?

Well I had the same issue before, too. Actually last night.
In my IIA, we took damage from an unknown source and 3 crewmen died (musta hit a coral reef or something), so I tried to use auto teleport. It wouldn't let me so I sailed back to base and had to dock.
I think it gives you the automatic teleport if you didn't get more than 1 crewmember dead or severe damage.

If one plays with high realism, there is no auto-teleport.

When you got good, SH3 took auto-teleport away from you.

I see. Temporarily drop realism and some sort of "realistic transfer" to mediterranean should be possible.

How much under 100%?

Hey chance to use external camera first time ever.

100% realism disables the teleport ability...99%, work it out
