Something I find interesting

http://www.mathcats.com/explore/age/calculator.html

Check out your age, in Subsim posts.

I consider myself an active subsimmer, I read posts, play the games, attend the meets, watch movies, and read forums on a daily manner. However, when I joined (Sep 14, 2002) I was only 14, and the internet was still a new idea, I had to be careful of what I said and who I said it to.

Right now, I have 890 posts I believe, which is equal to 890 days if I were to post 1 post a day. But when I check my statistics, (go to USER PROFILE > and click on the tab > Statistics) my average post per day is .33, which basically adds up to roughly 110 posts a year.

But since I'm curious, and I wanted to know how many posts I would have if I posted a post every day I've been a member, I visited the site that I gave the link to above.

Enter your SubSim join date, and hit "Find your age".

My subsim days = 2,706 = how many posts I would have if I posted 1 post per day.

===================
On a side note:

I think the highest post per day average is Jimbuna followed by Sailor Steve.
Jimbuna averages a whopping 20.89 posts a day
and
Steve averages 8.21 posts per day

===================
Notice to spammers:

Quantity does not beat quality. Both of these gentlemen have generously donated high amounts of time writing posts that we could all learn from. Jimbuna helping newbies out (like me) installing GWX and Steve's help with technical and historical accuracies.

Sending PM's does not add to your post count, nor the time browsing reading threads.

Now I am curious as to how many of my posts would constitute spam. I totally spammed a thread the other day, but it seemed to be a thread dedicated to spam, so perhaps that was technically OK.

I'm fairly new to the SUBSIM community, and I certainly hope to be able to contribute something worthwhile in whatever time I remain here.

Erm, back on track. I only have seventy-some-odd posts, so I figure my "age" would be well below my actual age.

My post count, compared to my join date and fairly high activity (I generally spend 1-4 hours a day here), is pretty low by most standards.

Most of my posts I would say are quality, and I don't generally participate in the spam threads. Also a good chunk of my posts are me acting as a moderator or mediator here (probably about a 1/3rd of them, maybe more).

I usually only post if I feel I have something relevant or useful to say that hasn't been expressed already (or fully expressed in the way I would want it to be), or when I have to act in an official capacity. This is just my style though
