I'm a sucker for the series. I'm addicted to Clear Sky.

I'm with Rilder, got both the previous games, don't see the attraction. I remember coming to some junkyard in the first game, helping a few guys defend, and then scavenging for ammo and weapons. While doing that, more baddies show up and keep showing up; unlimited spawns for enemies never fails to kill a game for me.

The second game was just weird.

Still curious about the new one though. Series has potential, maybe this one has some overhauled mechanics.

Unlimited spawns? You sure you were playing the same game? lol

tbh I used to hate SoC, but I decided a few months ago that I'd give it another go so I got the Oblivion Lost mod and never looked back, I found it was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had, The part in the NPP at the end was just so eerie, and actually thought provoking. Strangely I've just started playing through it again, I'm also playing Clear Sky but I'm not as keen on that.

On a side note, has anyone seen the Stalker film by Andrei Tarkovsky? That's what the game is loosely based on, well they took the idea of the Stalker, Zone etc and wrapped it around Chernobyl. Stunning film, as someone said in a review, you could "pause it at any time and print out a screenshot and it would make an awesome poster" and it's right, each shot is so well thought out.

Makes sense to me, wouldn't be the first game that's unplayable thanks to DRM.
