Default thought this was an interesting post

if it hasn't already been posted here, found this on the SH forum.
http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/t...7/m/7601028728
theres the link.

and i quote RedTerex,

No change there then, I was a moderator on this forum during the SH3 and SH4 years and the amount of negatives outweighed the posatives on a very large scale. I didnt think this was fair to the Devs or the rest of the community that were trying to enjoy the darn game and get posative feedback and assistance with it.

And as a Mod who was supporting the game I got attacked, flamed, slammed and knocked about quite a lot on here for saying posative things about it !!

Hopefully SH5 will meet many of the communities expectations and be the best ever SH to sail the ragged seas. ( well with over 3 million poly counts in SH5 maybe not so ragged j/k )

There are bound to be complaints and issues, but I just hope they are not on the scale as before.

I am quite looking forward to getting onboard (bosuns whistle expected) and meeting my happy crew, having a cup of char in my cabin, getting my head down and letting them run the whole show...until a ship is sighted of course..lol
although i admit bashing the character bios is well fun

I thought I read a post that Neal made in which he said that (dynamic campaign controversy excepted) the community was much more positive about SH3 than it has been about SH5.

You can go to the archives and read the forums before the release of
SH3 (and Sh2?). Go on; have a read. There are negative posts, but
nothing like this fiasco.

Yeah, comparisons between now and then are a little ridiculous. The focus back then was more about the implementation of certain features. Now, it's DRM and the direction the franchise is apparently taking. All signs are pointing to us not even having those basic features we were bitching over in the first place.

Personally, I'm very afraid DRM and the navigator's emotional instability are going to be the least of our gripes come March 4.
