Default Re-install . . . and goofs

Finaly decided to do it.
Uninstalled the old original SH3, and replaced it properly, with my new pre-patched StarForce free version from Amazon.

Uninstall of SH3 and GameShadow went well. Got the run around on the StarForce Removal Tool, and had to go to a third party for it. Mission accomplished.

New install went problem free.

Installed Beery's Flotilla Mod, and did some modding of my own.

Used the "Player" carreeer to start a test carreer with the 2. Flotilla.
Everything worked great. The new chart even showed the piers, which my old chart didn't.

Now for the "problem" (my stupidity).
As we were pulling out of port, I noticed a green uboat picture on the interface.
"What the . . .?" Then I reakized what it was. I've always played with every nicety turned off. I forgot to set the realism to 100%. Dumb, but not the end of the world. It's just a test carreer that did it's job, in showing me my oversight.

Next, it's time to upgrade my grafik card (ancient ATI, which I'm surprised can even run SH3 with only an occasional crash), and time to replace my fans (2 years old).

I'm realy looking forward to playing the new installation with the new hardware.
(No super-stuff, as SH3 will remain the only sim/game on my machine. No grafik card with it's own self contained fan, as that's just one more thing that can wear down or break.)

Oh. Not being an eye-candy guy, I play with the Particle Density at 12%, and the Enhanced Grafik (or whatever it's called) turned off. No interest in SH5. SH3 forever!
