Default Sh iv & tm1.9

Have a question in reference to SH IV using the Trigger Maru mod ver. 1.9. For some reason I keep dying when my boat is at 1/3 ahead, cruising at 165 feet in Daylight. I will cruising along when all of a sudden Bamm, my boat will be at 300 feet sinking fast with flooding and equipment breaking.

Realism setting is set to hard, is this the result of minefields or planes detecting me?

Probably minefields. Where is this happening? You can always try restarting a new game and use external camera to see the exterior of your boat. Then you will have your answer.

I"m not sure, unless Duc redid mines, but I believe most mines are set to get you at periscope depth.

Planes are possible.

You implied you always die, repeating the same thing. Doe's this only happen under the circumstances you listed. It should be very rare to die by plane or mine at that depth, if at all.

Give us more info. Is everything running fine when you leave port, where is this happening, ect.

Are you on time compress? It's possible that you've been picked up by an escort and are being depth charged.

It happens off the coast of Japan but in deep water theough I am always at 165 feet which made me think it wasnt mines cause how to you anchor a mine in 1000 + feet of water?

Not a destroyer cause sound would pick up on it I would think. It is usually one maybe two? Explosions then I get sunk. Time compression always on.

It's possible if you're using TC to get killed. You're crew should pick up a contact first, but sometimes with TC, it's running so fast you're killed before it happens.

When you say it always happens, that's a lil confusing. If you made it to Japan, you obviously are getting around. Are you reloading a save point and keep dying from there doing the same thing....

Ease off on the TC. First, don't use it and do the same thing and see if you just die, that would tell us somethings bugged if nothing is around you.

Change up a little, run on the surface, little or no time compression, use that cam to watch....I have a feeling you're getting killed by the enemy somehow. If it's early war, you many have no radar and poor sonar and stange things can happen.

I've been killed by planes before at 165ft. With TMO they can see deep. It's rare, usually mild damage at that depth...never been damaged or killed at 200 ft, so move down deeper. Some planes drop two bomb which may be a clue. One blows shallow, one blows deep...and that one can get you. If the water is calm, they can see you.

Check you're path, with TC, you could be running aground..fast way to die. Still, the game has a built in kill cam that shows your sub after you die, so just see if you see or hear anything with that.
