hey guys, hate have to bother you guys for help again, but i happen to be a total mod noob. lets say i downloaded the openhatch mod, and extract the contents of the rarfile, what do i do now? there are alot of scary filetypes in there ive never seen before (cfg) and im not too good at this.

That's why you need JSGME, a brilliant free application that makes installing and removing mods easy.
See here http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=156898 It comes with a help readme, and there are tips in the above post. Try it out, and if you have any problems report back here. There will always be someone around who is happy to help out. |

From one n00b to another - take the above advice and get JSMGE. It is super easy to install, understand, and use. Once it's there all you have to do is extract your downloaded mods into the MOD file in your SH3 directory and then you can open JSMGE and tell it what mods you want to use and it will do all the dirty work for you.
