Default Just got 40 mm Bofors available - very dissapointing!

So, I equiped my beloved boat with some good ol' quality steel from sweden, thinking this will be painful for any jap airmen trying to strafe me, but oh what a dissapointment?! they bark, but dont seem to bite, where is that air burst "flak" effect?!

Is there any mods for SH 1.4 (I bought the game before gold, and 1,5 isnt available I believe) that improves the flak guns?

and oh, I sunk a medium split with 20-25 rounds from the 40 mike mike - also a bit unrealistic.

Whats your preference, dual 20 mm or 40 mm, what gives most bang per buck, considering the shortage of ammo that the 40 mm provides?

Twin 20mm, and let the crew man it. It's like a death ray.

If you've ever seen a bofors fire, you'd know that it's 'pot luck' in hitting anything in the air.

I prefer twin 20mm. They can quickly tear up inbound birds, unlike the 40mm.

Actually we still use the Bofors L70 40 mm gun here in Sweden, fitted on our Combat Vehicle's (CV9040) with very good accuracy, this is what I wish for my WW2-sub!

With a quad mount...

That was an impressive vid. Helps you to understand why proximity fuses helped us win WWII so cleanly.
