Default Sen. Ben Nelson to air TV plea (politics)

Man it really hurts when you shoot yourself in the foot doesent it?

How these clowns expect to vote against the public will and remain in office is beyond me.

Mr. Nelson I have terrible news for you ... its over and a TV ad is not going to save your career.

The political damage Nelson may have incurred in providing the critical 60th vote that cleared the way for Senate passage of the health care reform bill showed up Tuesday in a poll released by Rasmussen Reports.

He is going down with the ship. He sold out for cash and threw any of his principles aside. He is not to be trusted IMO.

Its so refreshing to see that partisan hackery hasn't invaded the GT board.

Nelson needs to go regardless of his party.

If I wanted to be a partisan hack I would have titled the thread "Another Dem bites the dust" or some such.

He is a sell out and did not stand by his principals.

Not Partisan. The man sold his vote. It was against the wishes of the people in his home state. Now he will make his plee on TV in hopes of keeping a cushy job in DC. The party is over as they say. This is just a precusor of what will become of the others in DC who have basically shurked any responsibility of being the voice for the people who voted them in. The man whored himself.

Sure, back in the day where honor, work, respect, perseverance meant something.

Lets try somewhere around 1774. First Continential Congress. Moving forward toward independence. I'm not sure when the ball really started to drop though. Maybe Nixon.
