Mirror effect of emblems

Has the mirror effect of emblems with letters been solved? I've searched this Forum, and haven't seen a solution. I presently use Gimp. Any help is appreciated.

I think the guys that do the Kill Flag Mod could help you as they put Emblems on both sides.

it depends on how you make your UV map :

here I set it on both sides too
