Default TMO 1.9 Question

Hello all:

Been away a long time but wanted to try out my sea legs again. New computer with fresh install with the TMO 1.9 mod (also have U-Boat expansion pack too).

Been going through the training missions to try and recall how to do things again and something seems to be wrong. I'm on the artillery training mission and the planes are indestructible. I can blast away at them till I'm blue in the face and not even a dent. WTF??

Tanks!

Maybe do those naval missions without any mods?

That's the way I do 'em sometimes because big mods tends to make aircraft harder.

Also, it's a good reminder how far we are nowadays with all these excellent mods.

Well, the GFO mod should fix the stock game perty well, try to go through Naval Academy with that mod installed. Atleast the Aircraft part.

Just my 2 cents.

The planes were like paper in Stock. They are much harder to shoot down in TMO....that's why.

And even harder in real life. The only time you should engage air planes is when you can't submerge; otherwise crash dive.

In the training mission though you get those big, long range, birds (like a Catalina) floating overhead and I know I'm ripping through a wing/engine but they continue along thier way without even so much as a trail of smoke. If they were paper in the stock version then they are bullet proof in TMO 1.9. To far right in one version and to far left in the other. Oh well...
