Night time, shallow water, I had sunk a ship from a convoy (only one) and got the attention of 2 destroyers who were now in hot pursuit. After several unsuccessful passes they appeared to loose interest. My SO reported that the warships were moving away constant speed. I waited several hours (time compression) at the bottom of the sea and took a quick listen. Nothing was around so I went to the surface to resume the chase.
...but I took a quick look through my periscope before surfacing not expecting anything, and there was a destroyer sitting with his engine off with his blinding spot light right down my periscope. I don't think he saw me so i sent a slow moving fish his way and injured him. However he was now back in full speed and eventually sunk me. He seemed more committed and accurate this time around. I didn't know that was even modeled in the game. Has anyone else seen this or was this a quirky bug. SH4 1.4 with TMO |

Oh yeah. I've often attacked an escorted target, evaded and ran silent for an hour or so.
Coming up to PD, spotted a DD playing possum, whilst the convoy has steamed into the distance. ALWAYS look before surfacing! |

They do it in stock as well. Pucker factor pretty high on that one.
