Default Returning to game: Which mods?

Hi. I'm returning to this excellent sim. Been out for a year. Tryoing to catch up. Which essential mods do people recommend? Do I go for TMO 1.9? I'm into max realism. Real Environment looks good as well; can I use it with TMO 1.9? And I'm running a second monitor; saw something about an attack tool/course/AOB finder that you can have running on a second monitor and use while using the main monitor to work the periscope and the game. What is that mod and do people recommend it?

Thank you very much in advance.

Regards,

Nimmo

Been running TMO 1.9 (and 1.8 in its beta stage) for a few months now and it really is a beautifully refined mod.
But guess what I've just seen.
A post from Luke in the RFB thread to the effect that they are testing a release candidate for RFB 2 at the moment. And boy I'm gonna be checking that out soon as it's released.
I wouldn't enable any environmental mods on top of either if I were you.
Obviously I can't comment on the upcoming RFB, but TMO 1.9 just doesn't need an additional environment mod. It looks jaw droppingly beautiful as it is.

Yes, TMO 1.9, must have!

RFB 2.0 on the way, must have!

Run both with MultiSH4. Why have to chose.

Both incorporate environmentals, and if you layer another environmental mod over them you will hose the install.

FOTRS is great!

There are others!

Happy Hunting!

Default mods

upgrade to 1.5 as it has all of the patches. I am not sure if you can play TMO 1.9 without it.

I use TMO 1.9, Solution Solver program by gutted for the constant bearing attack, and easy Aob by nicolas and ddrgn (fixes the dials on the Attack Data Tool (as defined by Capn Scurvy in his High Realism Tutorial) on the upper right of the screen when at periscope view). All three are nominated for mod of the year. You can find the later two in Neil's post re mods, etc. in this forum. You might want to look at MoBo by aaronblood. It is in its own forum. Attack techniques have had major advancements. Check out Rockin Robbins sticky in the main forum (Skipper's bag of tricks, etc.) Note, RSRD is compatible with 1.9 and it is a very popular mod.

FOTRS is also a good supermod and if you play the stock game, and see Webster's website for his mod packs, which cover a lot.
