Having personally witnessed the conditions some young people are brought up in I must admit I support the idea, provided strict guidance/guidelines are drawn up and adhered to.

Here in the US we have "Department of Childrens and familys".

They can get a court order to enter a home and do so when its deemed necessry.

But as with most goverment programs while having the best of intentions generally fail miserably at their appointed task.

Quite often abused children in horrific conditions are 'overlooked' untill occassionally one ends up dead. At that time lots of commotion and hand wringing a couple of people get fired or moved to other positons and things go back to status quo.

The main problem is that they are overwhelmed with welfare requests and familys looking for 'help' in the way of food stamps and such as they park their brand new cadallacs while talking on their diamond encrusted cell phones.

It's not always that different here in the UK....but every child saved is a huge bonus.

Having read the article it isn't as bad as the headline sounds.

God help us if we had the Daily Fail writing the article.

What? The Daily Fail wouldn't do an accurate job you say? I can hardly believe that. They are a reliable source of information, surely.

Joking aside, the daily fail will probably write an article on this, should be quite amusing. Also think of how bad it would be if Sunday Sport did that article.

At least the Sunday Sport would have a profound number of nice round things to decorate said article that would distract from the appalling journalism.
