Default MODs... for manual targeting

Tried out the original game alot and liked it, but decided it is time to spice it up with mods.

I want to go 100% realism and learn manual targeting. What mods do you folks recommend for that?

( I have already decided to install GWX3, Lifeboats & debris, torpedo damage final v2 and SH3commander)

Is OLC Gold a good pick? Should I add TMT to that or is it fine without those two mods?

There are some pretty good mods around. I'd recommend OLC's OLC Gold MkIId. Its an excellent mod that also allows you to install the Longer Repair Times mod. In the end you have a demanding and fair realism level. Whats bad with OLC' mod is that the GUI and the environment are inseparable. There is a reason for that but if you don't want/like the environment (i doubt that) you can download his only-GUI version OLC GUI 1.2.7.
Another good choice would be makman's GUI or Mikhayl's GUI. Makman combined elements from both OLC's combimod and Mikhayl's own independent fine work.
Bottom line is that you have many choices so download, try, practise, ask around. Oh, and don't forget makman's TMT v2 mod.

I'd go with Manos GUI (MaGUI), metal paneling; it has OLC with the old stadimeter, 1 degree bearing marks for scopes and binocs, and Malloy's ruler (the most accurate ruler around).
Manos Environment (MEPv21) is good for atmosphere and you should try Real Ping II (that ping really gets to you!).

For manual targeting I use Wazoo's manual targeting tutorial. It is in video format and works well. It can be downloaded from Subsim downloads.
