Default Remove starting videos?

Is there a way to remove the starting videos (the ubisoft pool of light and the streaming clouds with poetry) so that the game just starts right into loading up?

I know it's just an easy escape-escape to bypass them, but still.

Thanks!

Yes you can. Go to Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Movies\Intro and either rename or delete the two movies in there. I recommend just renaming them by putting a 1 at the end of the file name.

Make a zero size txt file with the same names - delete the originals, then rename the txt files to movie file extension. *.txt -> *.wmv (or whatever it is)

Just deleting the file or changing the extensions has produced problems - it seems that the files must exist.

Just added an x to the end of the extension here. No problems on my rig.

I had to do this to get rid of the movies. I saved the original into the SHIV folder after renaming them. I had to do the same with SH3 also. I guess it depends upon your rig.

I don't change the extension, just the file name it self. Intro.wmv => Intro1.wmv Rarely do I change file extensions unless I have a good reason to.
