Default [REQ] Spysat mod, if there is one...

Is there any spysat mods for stock and for the mega mods? If not, can someone make one I'm not modder, just the casual gamer here.

As ETR3 said: Spy Satellite? There weren't a lot of them around in WWII. They were called search planes.

<sniff!> You would be OTL then. Here at the SH4 forum we engage only in the most realistic mods, preferring rigid realism to fun.

That's our motto here: NO HAVING FUN!!!!*

*Please disregard any Slightly Subnuclear Weapons we might have lying about. These are clearly evidence of a criminally deranged mind and do not reflect the completely serious nature of the Silent Hunter 4 modding community, which expressly sneers in the general direction of the Slightly Subnuclear modder.

Lil´ my friend, Im sure the RAF didnt have any photo recon Spits, and just imagine, the brass would never aprove you requesting help from Limey fly-boys

Dont know what the Army Air Forces would have flown (again, the navy brass would say NO)

and Marine Aviation... that´s a hell no!

LOL

no nothing like that was ever done for sh4

someone was trying to do a celestial navigation mod to navigate by star charts but i think they figured out it couldnt be done accurately because of the way stars are done in the game.

i could be wrong but i didnt see it talked about much after the idea first came up and the thread sank out of sight.

Never saw that before. Probably a little too detailed, even if you could get your Exec to piece together data from every radio report and plot it to his navigation chart.

I read in an old post somewhere that a spy satellite mod was impractical because of how SH4 spawns its ships, convoys, etc.
