Default Windows 7 RC

I was wondering if anyone had issues running SH4 on a Windows 7 box? I've got the release candidate that I use at work, and I'm thinking about installing it on my gaming machine at home. Anything I should watch out for? I am going to swap out my HDDs so that I can always just restore the original if this is a total failure, but if anyone has tried this already and the OS totally fails, I would rather know before I spend a few nights reinstalling and reloading all my stuff.

I've got 8gb of ram on my home system, and I'd really like to use it all. I know the release of Win7 is in five weeks, so this is going to be a test to see if my games will all run on Win7 when it comes time to buy it.

Test environments ftw.

After the Win 7 RC1 was released I played around with it for awhile and had no issues whatever running SHIV on it. The only reason i switched back to Vista was when they came back to the second SP. I plan on purchasing Win 7 when it comes out next month.

Well, I`m using windows 7 for some time now, and so far it is the best OS for me. Running build 7600, everything runs smooth, incl SH4.

Windows 7 will smash Vista, go for it!!

I have build 7100. Hopefully it works as well as your newer model.

Looks like I have a project ahead of me then.

Been running XP at home, so this will be a nice upgrade.

In that case it will only getting better. The early beta`s I tried out had some probs here and there, but now its close to perfect.

Based on everything I been hearing about Window 7 over the past few months... I damn well buying it!
Then I finally get to use that infamous 4th 1GB stick of RAM that XP doesn't know what to do with
(Only kept in their for Duel Channel.)
for the record - Im not a fan of Vista either, its pants!

I can`t stand Vista. The main problem is preformantce and large file copy pasting. I hope windows 7 will be better in thise case. As far as most people saying its not a bad OS .
