George F. Will, the elite conservative commentator, will call in his next column for U.S. ground troops to leave Afghanistan, according to publishing sources.

America should do only what can be done from offshore, using intelligence, drones, cruise missiles, airstrikes and small, potent special forces units, concentrating on the porous 1,500-mile border with Pakistan........

Well its a fact that the last month or two have been the 'deadliest' since the start of the war so maybe it is time to re-think the stratigy.

But I have to wonder what happened to the media body count that was so publicised during the Bush administration

Oh and who in the hell is George Will anyhow?
