A couple of weeks ago I started a thread stating I was going to build my own computer. Well now my parents have had a change of heart. I have to get a laptop. I talked them into getting me a gaming laptop but now I have no idea what is a good one.
My parents founds these: Alienware m15x Toshiba Qosmio X305 Dell XPS M1730 Rock Xtreme SL Pro Sony VAIO NW180J/8 Alienware Area-51 M15x Alien m17 I do not know which to get, or if there is a better one out there that is no $1700. Any suggestions would be nice. |

I have a Dell M1730. It is gigantic - as in huge. I figured since I move it, at most, once a month, I'd be fine... Yeah.
It's huge. Won't fit most bags. And it's heavy as heck. Also, the battery on mine lasted about a year, and cost about 120$ to replace... Battery autonomy is about 40-50 minutes. It is a sweet laptop, tho, but if I had to do it all over again, I'd go with something else. Don't know anything about the ASUS. |
