Default SS of lightning

I've played a long time and never seen lightning. I thought it didn't exist, except maybe in single player. I wasn't even trying to do it, just took a SS of the PT boat and there it was. I was like wow...Just thought it cool. Was in campaign mode, TMORSRD...so it doe's exist in campaign.

Haven't played stock in forever, but I thought they were there. I'm not aware that TMO add's them. If they're not in stock, probably added by RSRD. Usually they're plenty of them in bases parked or patrolling harbors.

As for playable PT boats, I think miner made one, but you would have to ask him.

just out of curiosity:
exactly what installation order of mods do you have?

I have experienced lots of thunder, but never ever seen a single lightning, even by playing a 1tc

I've played for almost a year and never seen it. Someone entered a lightning shot in the SS contest and I thought it was edited, but told it does happen, but others said only in single missions. So I was shocked when I saw it. Here's mods.

The lightning was always absent. Before Daves passing, (leovampire) he worked forever trying to get it to work but it just never transpired. He was close a few times but could never get it to go. I have seen it work a couple of times but it was just an anomaly I suppose.

Good that you have a screenie of it, at least we know it's still hiding in there.

What was strange was my sub was in radar range, but lighening would never show around it. It showed constantly around the PT boat, but maybe because it was in the bay. A week later at night it happened again, but same thing.

Almost impossible to time taking a SS, but I frapped a long series. I'll try and post a movie later.

Yes, same conditions around both boats. Started heavy raining later that night, but still just did it around the PT boat. I did another patrol and came back a few weeks later and stayed there for a few days. Another storm came, same thing.

Funny how the game doe's storm. If you catch one right, I've seen some just start and others slowly happen, little rain to a lot, then die back down to a drizzle.

A few storms at sea....nothing but thunder. First I ever saw it was a SS in the unedited contest here towards the bottom of page, but have no clue how or what he plays. No fog.

Got to thinking, they're are 4 thunder sounds and 4 ligntning files in the scene data file. I swear I've seen two types. The other guy's lightning is larger than mine and I saw some larger same distance. Obvious the lightming triggers the thunder sound as it thunders after. Gonna play with them and see what I can do.
