Just listened to this prog on BBC Radio 4

A large section from five minutes in deals with convoy service, torpedoing, getting captured by the Scharnhorst (!!!!), surviving, dying, post traumatic stress. Must have been much the same but worse for the Japanese merchant sailor. It's real.
