Default Stock Sinking Mechanics and Adjustments

This is intended as a supplementary topic to GFO with regard to the stock game Sinking Mechanics.

The idea is to make minimal adjustments to the stock ship models as possible, a compromise between stock and the fully fledged mechanics of the big mods.

These changes hopefully will be implimented into later GFO's. (Webster are you there ?? )

What I'll be doing, is going through each ship, testing and changing parameters with S3D, and reporting the effects. If anybody has any help or pointers, these are always welcome.

If you do not agree with any results, please tell us, with reasons and examples.
Please do not see this as competition between the mods, but as a way for all to understand and share modding experiences.

its a very worthy endevor your doing here

i wouldnt call it something for GFO this early on because in my opinion it labels it as a GFO mod and i dont think your intent is to have people think it has to be used with GFO but i do love the idea of using your mod and GFO together.

i am very big on the idea of stand alone versions of all mods so that everyone can mix or match mods to their own liking.

once your happy with what your mod does, i think we should get together to do a version that combines it with my manuvering fix but first i think we should let your mod become what it becomes before we start looking too far ahead.

mods often will take on a life of their own so you may end up with lots of little extras added in before its done.

A quick update...
I've left the Sampans, Junks and Fishing boats.. they tend to go into 'orbit' with a torp hit... you should see the one fishing boat, it's so funny... after a torp hit, it goes into 'rocket' mode eventually 'diving' faster than a sub - will post movie later..

Other than that, they all take a max of 5 or so APs or HEs to sink so I'm not going to make any changes here.

I'm now onto the small merchants...later

Sounds awesome, Vanjast!! I would love to see some other options than super-slow sinking... in fact, I would love to see fuel tankers explode. Seems like forever since I have seen that happen since I moved to RFB and OM.

Kudos for your idea and effort, good sir.
