How realistic is it that the WO only can keep track of the closest target. I mean... I want to plot a merchant while my WO got this issue and only track the closer and more irrelevant patrol boat. This really messes plotting up when you don't got a sonar.
Isn't it more realistic to have the so called "god-view"? E.G. someone else are doing the plotting? I'm so sick of that WO... or I'm I doing something wrong? |

The only solution I can think of is a practical one. Simply maintain the target on the same bearing/range while you are tracking him. Match roughly his course and speed until you fixed his course. With each plot you make refine your course and speed to match. Only when you are sure of his course and speed should you attempt to overtake him/the convoy and then go over to track another unit in the convoy. Units on the (forward) corners of a convoy give more leeway in maneuvering than i.e. units inside the flank rows.
