Not necessarily, though perhaps he would of been off purchasing a new air mattress, the thought of just simply repairing it isn't that far off from being feasable. I don't know much about rubber solvents and repairing things like that, but could it just be a random coincidence this happend or is the tire repair solvent actually flameable?

Sounds like he could sue the makers of the tire repair solvent, or the makers of the air mattress, what ever caused the accident. If he lived in the USA. But he doesn't, he lives in Germany. D'oh!
